I have gradually been getting my head in gear to go back to college after my long summer of driving across America. I have been setting up my old pc as a router/firewall/wireless gateway (openbsd/authpf for the curius) which I also use to store/share all of my music and communicate with the outside world (it stays at home, powerbook flies with me).

On the music front I bought my ticket to see coil (Dublin concert hall) and I also bought their new album ANS which is made with this cool old one of a kind russian synthesizer which makes noises based on light passing through pictures drawn on a glass plate. The ANS album consists of 3 cds, a dvd of visuals to go with the music and a booklet containing pictures of all the patterns used to make the music.

Misc:
  • Lathe site.
  • The GAIM home page.
  • Nicotine the soulseek client I use.
  • The ultimate p2p app, a brilliant piece of software.
  • General information about ANS.
  • A review of a collection of early music made with ANS.
  • Buy coils new album ANS.
